It's a very good day to be Miguel Ferrer.
The actor, who debuted halfway through NCIS: Los Angeles Season 3 as NCIS Assistant Director Owen Granger has been upped to series regular on both the mothership AND the proposed NCIS: Los Angeles spinoff that may be included on CBS' falls schedule.
As Deadline reports, this would be a move akin to the one made by Rocky Carroll, who stars on NCIS as Leon Vance and also recurred often at the outside of that show's follow-up in California.
The NCIS: Los Angeles spinoff will air later this year as a backdoor pilot, with the network then deciding if it deserves a full series order for 2013-2014.
